— How this page works —

Every product revealed on this page is equipment we have used, calibrated, broken, replaced, and re-used across live corrections special-operations deployments, protective-services details, and PSSK9 certification cycles.

Nothing here is theoretical. Nothing here is a paid placement disguised as a review. If it is on this page, we ran it.

— Sponsor Philosophy —

We do not endorse
every product or every sponsor.

We select the sponsors whose service, technology, or product genuinely enhances the professional special services canine community. We are not influenced by sponsorship money. We are influenced by measurable enhancement to the PSD K9 and the K9 handler.

If we endorse a product, we stand behind it — not because of a financial commitment, not because of free product, but because it is the right thing to do. Our clients, our subscribers, and the members of this community deserve effective, efficient, field-verified equipment. That commitment is our word.

America first — but not exclusively. We value American manufacturers and stand by them. But the working-dog world is a global craft. There are exceptional manufacturers, breeders, and craftsmen in Europe, Slovakia, Germany, the Netherlands, and beyond who have contributed generations of hard-won knowledge to this industry. It would be reckless — and dishonest — to claim we work with American manufacturers exclusively when we know the truth. We do not pretend.

We welcome product submissions. We welcome hard questions. Unlike most review platforms, our feedback is genuine, documented, and traceable — every reviewed product is deployed in real-world scenarios, logged digitally, and cross-referenced in written documentation with facts, timestamps, and named handlers.

— The Standard · Since 2009 —

The standard has been in place
since 2009.

We have seen the good, the bad, and the copycat.

There are canine equipment manufacturers who have taken ideas directly from working handlers — handlers who went into kinetic engagement situations, discovered a real problem, engineered a real fix in the field — and had that idea stolen and marketed without credit, without acknowledgment, without a single dollar back to the operator who bled for it.

That is a disservice and a disgrace to the working professionals of this industry.

This page will not carry those vendors. Ever.

— Categories We Will Unveil —

— What Sponsors Access —

Information platform.
Not a sales channel.

This is an information-first community. Sponsors do not buy ad space. Sponsors underwrite the work — the videos, the doctrine papers, the field reviews, the newsletters — and are documented alongside it. Ad banners are minimized by policy. We are not a storefront.

01

Category Video Slots.

Recurring video segments produced by K1K9 in your product’s category — deployment footage, teardown, real-world use.

02

Doctrine Newsletter Underwrite.

Sponsor a single Doctrine Journal issue or a full Volume. Named credit inside the paper — not a banner.

03

Field Review + Written Record.

Your product deployed, documented digitally and in writing, cross-referenced in the review archive with named handler feedback.

04

Social Integration.

Cross-post integration with K1K9 Instagram, X, and Facebook — deployment tags, product-in-use frames, named credit.

05

Recurring Content Column.

Monthly grooming tips, monthly medical rundown, monthly firearms maintenance — sponsors with expertise contribute recurring editorial columns.

06

Minimal Discrete Banners.

By design, ad banners are minimized site-wide. Sponsor logos appear only where relevant to the reviewed content, and never in reader-hostile placements.

This community is primarily civilian professional — contract personal-protection details, executive-protection teams, corporate security, private clients, high-net-worth households. Government agencies have other communities they can access. Our sponsors reach the professional civilian market that no other platform serves at this depth.

— How Vendors Approach Us —

Not all equipment providers
are accepted.

We do not solicit sponsorships. Sponsors petition to be evaluated.

If a manufacturer wants their equipment reviewed for possible inclusion in The Unveil, the standard is simple: submit product, submit provenance, submit the operator or handler whose real-world feedback shaped the design.

We test. We deploy. We decide.

No exceptions. No paid placements. No shortcuts.
