The purpose of an assessment is not to embarrass people. It is to identify what needs attention before a weakness becomes a problem.
The K1K9 Custom RED K1K9 Assessment Team is a structured, consent-based review for qualified agencies, organizations, security clients, and serious K1K9 programs. The review can examine program controls, handler readiness, K1K9 manageability, training records, equipment processes, environment considerations, documentation, and sustainment needs.
Everybody likes to believe the program is strong. The better question is whether it is strong when reviewed honestly.
A professional assessment does not exist to give somebody a trophy. It exists to provide usable findings, prioritize concerns, and build a development roadmap. If the answer is “everything is perfect,” then either you found a unicorn or nobody asked the difficult questions.
RED assessments are conducted only with appropriate client authorization, defined scope, confidentiality protections, and professional boundaries. K1K9 does not conduct unauthorized testing, intrusion, or activity outside the written agreement.
Operational K1K9 handler, corrections special-operations professional, and K1K9 team-development specialist. Writes on control, handler development, responsible protection K1K9 ownership, professional discretion, and the difference between training drills and operational judgment.

If you are serious about developing the right team, start with an honest confidential assessment.
General principle only. Nothing on this page is training instruction, legal advice, or a promise of outcome. Every K1K9, handler, household, and lawful role is assessed individually. Specific clients, facilities, agencies, methods, and operational details are not publicly disclosed.
More in Professional Practice & Discretion
A K1K9 standing beside a principal is not executive protection. Planning, discretion, and authorized scope are.
Why detailed K1K9 information, training level, and client identity stay behind verified access.
Government K1K9 programs are not built by buying a dog and hoping policy catches up later.
